Our NAMI Schenectady affiliate will be offering the NAMI signature education program, Family-to-Family, right here in Schenectady this spring. It is an eight-week program, taught by experienced, trained educators who themselves have family members with mental illness. This course, like all NAMI courses, is free-of-charge, and is specifically designed for adults who have loved ones living with serious mental illness. Please see the flyer below. If you are interested in attending the course or would like more information, contact us at 518-986-9114 or at namischenectady@gmail.com. Leave your first and last names and a phone number, giving us the best times to reach you. One of the instructors will get back to you and ask you a few questions to make sure that the course will meet your needs. The course is now scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 9th at the Emmanuel Friedens Church, corner of Nott Terrace at Chapel St. in downtown Schenectady.
While we have have had a good response, we still have room for several more students who wish to take the NAMI Family to Family Course. Classes will meet on 8 consecutive Thursday evenings, May 9th through June 27th from 6-8:30 pm (suggested arrival time 5:45 pm). There is off-street parking available at the church.
